About

I am a writer, comics artist, and teacher living in New York City. I was born in Hartford, Connecticut, in 1967 and graduated from Brown University in 1989. My essays and reviews have appeared in CHA Review of Books and Films, the Brooklyn Rail, the Chicago Review of Books, Words Without Borders, and other outlets.

From 2015 to 2022 I was the Online Content and Community Manager for Library of America, the nonprofit publisher, and prior to that I was a Senior Producer for Asia Society New York.
